The Staff

Our full time staff members, headed up by the very capable manager Bryony Hatt, are natural teachers with excellent technical knowledge and a passion for sharing their knowledge of successful horse breeding operations with others.

Excellence in all aspects of management and promotion of high quality horses with the highest standards of safety and customer service is our trademark.

Bryony came to the ranch as a student/guest and began her stay when she joined us at the 2004 Egyptian Event in Kentucky . She served out the summer as in intern before returning to her native England. Bryony has since rejoined the staff and recently filled the manager's position vacated by Cristy Nelson in 2005. Bryony -- as part of the staff assisting the very capable Cristy and now as farm manager -- brings with her such expertise and loving gentleness it is difficult imagining the ranch without her.

She is an extremely talented show rider, specializing in the beautiful Hunt Seat form that she perfected in her homeland in the UK . She is a very professional horsewoman who takes her career in horses quite seriously so in addition to her adept riding and showing skills she is adding to her resume an impressive amount of knowledge in reproduction. She has completed the Course in Equine Reproduction Workshop at Oregon State University and is gaining experience in all aspects of running the ranch.

A kind hearted soul, Bryony is a lover of spiders and other (in her opinion) helpless creatures and she carries that extraordinary kindness over into her teaching whether with people or young horses.

We loved her the minute we met her, but now our lives have been forever changed by her as she was the one who found our newest addition to the ranch while in visiting the exquisite Halsdon Stud in England owned by Charlie and Shirly Watts.
